They are small, big, easy, hard, short-term and long-term doings. Please pick one or more and call or email us! 1.Email the www.SalineOWeen.com link to anyone and everyone, to get the info out about filling booth space, volunteering, sponsoring, and just spreading awareness about the event. 2.If you're on Facebook, here's a link to the event there. Each person who volunteers gets one free admission and a SalineOWeen t-shirt. Talk to Yvonne to let her know what games, who's volunteering, a contact name, number & email. Forgoods or services donations, we have the following needs (ok to associate an advertisement with any goods or services):
-----Printing services for concert tickets. -----A retail outlet where people can go to purchase the concert tickets. -----Printing services for badges (performers, vendors, security, staff, & volunteers) -----Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the State Nut Queen pageant (this is not anormal pageant). -----Sacks for race -----Portapottys -----Trash cans -----LOTS of candy (for trick-or-treaters) -----Kiddie game prizes (small toys like plastic cups, mini-frisbees, etc. Ok to have company logo on it) -----Inflatables for kids to play on -----Stage (small or large) -----PA system for small stage (midway) and/or large stage (arena) -----Straw Bale maze - Ok to have advertising on maze. -----Small & Medium pumpkins for kids to decorate and take home. -----Walkie-Talkies -----Anything else 8.Here's alist of volunteer duties that anyone can do. -----Help coordinate the State Nut Queen pageant before, for rehearsal and/or during the pageant. -----Direct cars in parking lots. -----Sell admission tickets, hand out programs. -----Help lost people. -----Look for suspicious activity. -----Empty garbage cans during and after event and keep midway and arena free of garbage. -----Check tickets at arena door, and keep head count. -----Take photos and/or video of the event before, during and after. (For documentary purposes and for media coverage) -----Be a midway game host. Take money, explain the game, give prizes for winners. -----Be a contest emcee or judge or helper: Pie-eating, Sack race, Costume contest, Pageant. -----Get pied or dunked. Talk smack to the game players so they want to pie/dunk you. -----Time keeper. Help everything stay on schedule from morning through evening. -----First aid. If you hold a medical license, we need you to administer basic first aid. -----Be part of the security team. There will be official police officers and a team of "security types." -----If nothing else, donate to the cause and/or come to the festival!! -----Anything else you can think of.
